“I love the students I tutor, their enthusiasm and how hard they work and how excited they get when they can read words they couldn't previously read. I absolutely love everything about being a tutor.”

— Judy S.

“Every moment is memorable when having the opportunity to help those in need. I recommend to everyone who could, should come volunteer. When helping the Community you are also helping yourself.”

— Joseph P.

“After months of the pandemic, I felt isolated and was not able to do for others as I would like to. I volunteered for the card connection program because it was something I could do for others and be at home. Each card I mail each month I hope it brings sunshine to someone's life.”

— Judy P.

Make your organization an RSVP Volunteer Station

Elnora_01b.jpg

A volunteer station is a public agency, secular or faith-based private non profit organization, or proprietary health care organization that accepts the responsibility for assignment and supervision of RSVP Volunteers. Each volunteer station must be licensed or otherwise certified, when required, by the appropriate state or local government. Informal groups do not qualify as volunteer stations.

The RSVP AmeriCorps Seniors project helps build the capacity of the Volunteer Stations by recruiting RSVP volunteers 55+ with the knowledge, skills and experience to assist in addressing the Station’s challenging community priorities. Volunteers are placed at the discretion of the Station staff. Although volunteer recruitment is the responsibility of RSVP staff, potential RSVP volunteers may also be referred by the Volunteer Station.
