Food Pantry Volunteer Roles

Help the Love CDC provide nutritious food supply for elderly, disabled, low-income, disadvantaged, and homeless individuals and families to prevent them from going hungry.


Food Pantry Helper

Duties:

Preparing food pantry boxes for distribution.

Distributing food boxes to clients on and off site (as requested).

Assisting with cleaning up at the end of shift.

Skills needed:

Compassionate, People and Service-oriented individuals.

Assignments vary and may require sitting, lifting and standing based on physical strength and abilities of the individual.

Food Pantry Clerical Assistant

Duties:

Greet and assist with client check-in process.

Distribute program surveys to program clients during in-take.

Skills needed:

Compassionate, People and Service-oriented individuals.

Requires strong computer skills. Requires sitting for at least three hours.
